Is it for you?
Travelling solo can be a highly enriching experience. If I’m honest, now that I am on my second solo trip, I realised just how good travelling solo was. Now as we’re all very well aware, it may not be for everyone, but it definitely is the way for some of us! So to begin with, here are some of the reasons why I think travelling solo is such a marvellous thing that I believe anyone should try at least once in their lifetime just to test the waters!

What you get out of it
· You get to focus more on your surroundings
· Everything is done at your own pace
· You pick where you want to go, where to eat, etc.
· Meeting new people
o Whether you’ve realised it or not, when you are alone you tend to be more inclined to speak to people. For example, yesterday I met a bandoneon player called Peter Chapman. He lives 30 minutes away from Chester and we had a lovely conversation after he had asked me if I had taken some good pictures.I've also met Camille and Caroline, two Franco-Canadian sisters, at Kensington Palace, and that's how I actually ended up going to see the change of guards ceremony.
· Confidence and Independence built up
o It really does boost your confidence when you feel like you can handle everything on your own; from paying bills, planning your journey, handling people looking at you and asking you why you’re alone, taking photos with only you in them, etc.
Now I’m sure there’s plenty more pros to travelling solo, but these are the top ones that prevailed in my head now that I've finished my solo travel in Chester and London and now heading to Cairo for another trip!
