So I'll be reviewing Onsen- a brand that I'd only heard of a few years back. I just finished their scrub and thought it was finally a good time to review two of their products which I had bought from Val d'europe in Paris. I’ve been taking them along with me during my travels to stay hydrated due to the changes of weather as I haven’t been using them for a while and actually forgot what the lovely sales lady had told me about directions for use. But I’ve used my scrub 2 days ago in the shower to scrub my elbows, knees, legs and arms gently. Then I rinsed it off and dried myself and applied the body butter. It felt weird because the body butter didn’t feel like it was staying on my skin but it was being absorbed straight away as my skin retained its ‘wetness’ 🤣🤣. But I’m so happy with it because now when I touch my arms or legs, they feel so freaking soft.

The lavender spa body butter smells very light which I like, because it means it’s not heavily fragranced and so won’t dry my skin. The consistency is more cream-like rather than a thick butter. What I like most about it is that it seeps into the skin so easily! It takes like 4 seconds- I timed it! 😝☺️so it’s not like one of those lotions or butters that you have to give yourself a bloody massage so that they can get absorbed 😖😖 I will say though that I think it works in areas with smooth skin, so your arms, legs that kinda thing. It didn’t really do much for my hands or knees. After Application though, it does feel quite buttery, so be careful when you hold something after applying it on your hands because it might slip ⚠️ 🤭

I would definitely buy the scrub again- but not so sure about the body butter. I really liked the scrub releasing these oils as soon as it came into contact with the water and I think thats the main source of hydration. But I'm not sure if it works so well without the lotion.

I’m also going to be re-using the clean empty jars to put anything I want in them because they’re this beautiful aquamarine colour which I absolutely love 😍. I’m thinking makeup remover pads? Or just loose accessories? What do you think I should put in them?
